Classes

Kindred University

Kindred University, our adult education and discipleship program, helps us to grasp the scope of Christian doctrine, devotion and discipleship through sequential study of it’s key subjects.  Offered on a quarterly basis, classes meet every Sunday morning at the 8:45 and 10:30 service times, and on Wednesday evenings at 7:00.  Kindred University runs on multiple tracks and is open to all. Click Here for more information.

Groups

Shepherd Groups

Shepherd Groups are small groups designed to promote discipleship and fellowship within our church family. These groups function as “the smallest churches” within the bigger church. Their meetings are built around Bible study, prayer and personal fellowship. Click Here to find out more.

Ministries

Men’s Ministry

Kindred’s Men’s Ministry is designed to disciple, teach, and share the love and eternal promise of Jesus Christ. This objective is achieved through participation and fellowship at various men’s events and small groups throughout the year. A monthly breakfast that includes a message by Pastor Philip is held on the second Saturday of every month here at Kindred. Please visit the welcome tent on the patio for more information. Women’s Ministry

Whatever stage of life you find yourself in, Kindred’s Women’s Ministry is designed to equip women to embrace their calling and pursuit of biblical womanhood. Opportunities include a variety of Bible studies, discipleship groups, areas of service, opportunities for fellowship, outreach events and more. Our prayer is that through these opportunities the women at Kindred will pursue an intimate relationship with the Savior as He continues to refine their walk with Him. College and Young Adults

The Young Adult's ministry is for individuals who desire to pursue God and strengthen their relationship with Him. This ministry creates an atmosphere where young adults are able to grow in their faith through the teaching of God’s Word, build friendships and encourage one another in their Christian faith. Bible studies are held throughout the week allowing us to interact / discuss the truth of God’s Word in a more intimate setting. Social events are scheduled on a regular basis where individuals can connect with each other. Contact: Kevin Mohr, Leader of Young Adults / 714-552-1674

Marriage and Family

The mission of this ministry is to partner with married couples and equip families to fully align themselves with God’s ultimate purpose, which is to glorify Him. The strength of the family is dependent upon a marriage that is built upon the foundation of God’s Word and a love for Jesus Christ. Those on this journey together can connect through similar life challenges where God is shaping and refining for His glory. Kindred’s Marriage and Family Ministry offers classes and seminars throughout the year geared to reinforce the purposes of biblical marriage. Additionally, there are shepherd groups with a marriage and family emphasis that meet off campus. Additional Ministries and Services

The following ministry opportunities are available to our Kindred body. For more information please send an email to the ministry’s address, call the church office, or visit kindredchurch.org.

Prayer

We desire for everyone at Kindred to have both a daily abiding conversation with God as well as deeper and more far reaching prayers. We love to pray not only for the physical needs of the church but also for spiritual needs such as confession of sin, spiritual growth and the advancement of God’s kingdom.  Prayer is our key weapon in our spiritual battles as Christians and so we encourage everyone in the church to become prayer warriors.  If you are in need of prayer you can be assured that our prayer warriors will bring your request before the throne of grace.

Our prayer warriors facilitate prayer in the church in the following ways:

  1. Bi-weekly as well as emergency prayer emails that touch specific prayer needs of our church family (we have a dedicated prayer email team monitoring the church’s prayer email address).
  2. Being available to pray with anyone who has a need, both before and after each Sunday morning service.
  3. Weekly meetings to pray for the needs of the body.

Where and When

  • Sunday mornings - we gather to pray for the needs of anyone at the service and the service itself.
  • Sunday evenings - we meet at 6:30pm in Multi Purpose Room #1 to pray for the needs of the church and the needs of the body.

Serving

There are numerous opportunities to serve in the prayer ministry. Pray about how God would have you fill a role in this ministry.

Missions

The KCC Mission Team has a threefold purpose:(1) To SUPPORT full-time missionaries through the Process of Sending, Promotion of their work and Prayer. (2) To STRENGTHEN our church families' passion for and involvement in missions through Education and Exposure to the Field. (3) To SEND our members on Short & Longterm Missions to the end that all are convinced that "We Exist to Glorify God by Making and Maturing Disciples of Jesus Christ Throughout the World."

Music

The worship team at Kindred is a group of talented musicians and vocalists who desire to glorify Christ with the gifts that he has given them by leading the body in the praise and adoration of our Savior. It is our joy to point the hearts of believers towards Christ as we corporately glorify the living God.

Where & When

  • Thursday Evenings - Rehearsal’s 7-9 pm (Sanctuary)
  • Sunday Mornings - 7 am Sound Check (Sanctuary)

Serving

  • Please contact our Worship Leader Christian Ebner in order to set up an audition and interview if you would like to serve in the music ministry
  • Other Worship Opportunities are also available outside of the main services, such as in the Children’s ministry, Junior High and High school groups.

Evangelism

Kindred Evangelism Outreach Ministry seeks to glorify God through equipping disciples to make disciples. It is our mission to provide both intensive and extensive evangelism training through the following means:

  1. Expounding the principles of biblical evangelism;
  2. Exploring effective approaches for reaching non-Christian adherents of specific persuasions;
  3. Exemplifying how to communicate Christ to the lost through practical mentoring by qualified leaders;
  4. Engaging unbelievers in the public forum while lovingly, tactfully, and unashamedly proclaiming the gospel to them.

Where and When

Friday evenings at 6pm - we meet for a time of instruction and prayer in Multi-purpose room #1 before going out to share the gospel in our community.

Kindred Homeschool Support Group

The mission of the Kindred Homeschool Support Group is to provide support for homeschooling families of Kindred Community Church through social, spiritual, and educational events as we encourage and challenge one another to pursue excellence in godliness, relationships, and education. We exist for 4 primary mutual purposes: support, service, synergy, and supplication.

If you are interested in joining the Kindred Homeschool Support Group, please contact Thomas and Christina Purtell.

Hospital Visitation & Care (HVAC)

The Hospital Visitation and Care (HVAC) ministry serves and ministers to Kindred members who are hospitalized, have outpatient procedures or require extended home care.

Our goal is to have one of our team members visit anyone from the Kindred body who is in hospital. If a visit is not possible someone from the team will call the patient instead.

The purpose of our ministry is to demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus Christ to the patient as well as to pray for them.  For those with more serious conditions or who have extended stays, cards, blankets or CDs may also be provided.

Serving

If you would like to serve in the HVAC ministry please email Norm Stingley or call at 714.743.4966.

Prison Ministry
